Witton Castle Lakes report w/e 21st September

After a total washout at Witton Castle Lakes on Monday the week improved significantly and welcomed 50 visiting anglers. The total catch for the week reached a decent 170 fish, giving a rod average of 3.5.

The best bags of the week were D.Graham and P.Maysbell with 13 fish each, N.Hodgson with 12 and M.Cromar with 9 fish. Best flies this week have been black & olive ‘f’ flies, shipmans, black buzzer and yellow blob.

One angler caught a tagged fish but unfortunately he hadn’t paid the extra £1, so he couldn’t claim the £50 bonus and had to return the fish.
