In what turned out to be a milder week than forecast, Witton Castle Lakes welcomed a total of 57 visiting anglers through the gates. Anglers fished the favourable conditions and returned an excellent rod average of just over 5 fish.

Even though conditions were favourable Witton Castle Lakes had a very quiet week with visiting numbers much lower than of late. This being the case the lakes still fished very well and the anglers who did venture down this week returned a very commendable rod average of just under 4.
We had a week of two seasons at Witton Castle Lakes this last week, with a chilly Autumnal start and rounding off the week with very warm summer-like conditions. We welcomed 56 visiting anglers who certainly found the going hard, but still returned a decent rod average of 3.2.
The August Bank Holiday weekend at Witton Castle Lakes started with a very busy Sunday and a quiet Monday and a big drop in temperatures as the week progressed. In total we welcomed 52 visiting anglers for the week who returned a very good rod average of 3.8.
