Witton Castle Lakes saw ideal conditions for fishing through the week with fish rising on all of the lakes. Visiting numbers were lower than of late with only 58 anglers taking advantage of the conditions to fish the lakes. The total catch for the week was 141 fish giving a rod average of 2.5.

The warm and, at times, humid conditions over the previous week has seen some quality sporting action for the 64 visiting anglers to Witton Castle Lakes. The abundance of damselfly on all of the lakes had fish rising in their numbers giving plenty of opportunities resulting in a total of 205 fish being caught – which is a very healthy rod average of 3.2.
Finally we had a marked improvement in temperatures and weather conditions through the week, certainly more befitting the time of year. Over the week Witton Castle Lakes welcomed 66 visiting anglers who enjoyed the change in weather and caught between them a total of 165 fish giving them a healthy rod average of 2.5.
It’s been another mixed bag weather-wise at Witton Castle Lakes with warmer temperatures but some heavy downpours which kept visiting numbers similar to those of the previous week. A total of 61 visiting anglers ignored the wet conditions and fished the lakes catching a total of 145 fish giving them a rod average of 2.3.
