We couldn’t have asked for a better week at Witton Castle Lakes; gloriously warm and sunny conditions, a nice long Easter weekend and fish rising everywhere. We welcomed 125 visiting anglers through the gates, all of who enjoyed a great weeks sporting action.
Well, what a week of weather at Witton Castle Lakes, along with the rest of the country we certainly had every type of weather thrown at us. Especially on Wednesday when we had the full compliment, from sleet, snow and hailstones to rain, sunshine and winds gusting up to 60 miles per hour. The weather definitely played its part in keeping visiting numbers down with only 43 anglers braving the conditions to fish the lakes, however they still managed a decent rod average of 4.3.
