Ticket Prices Reduced for November

All ticket prices have been reduced for November at Witton Castle Lakes, starting from 1st November, offering excellent value for money.
Witton has a great reputation as a winter fishery and if last winters sport is repeated anglers will be in for some great winter sport. A full day three fish ticket will now be £19, full day sporting £12, parent /child three fish ticket £19, 4 hour ticket £9, under 17 ticket £7 and junior club member ticket £4.
From 1st of December the lakes will be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and ticket prices could be reduced even further. Full details will be posted on the web site later in November.

This week has seen some atrocious weather conditions on most days with torrential rain and high winds making fishing very difficult. Despite this 42 anglers braved the conditions catching 96 fish for a 2.3 fish average.

Witton Castle Lakes report w/e 12th October

The week started well at Witton Castle Lakes with reasonable temperatures and plenty of rising fish and despite strong winds there were some good catch returns. As the week progressed colder temperatures, rain and strong winds saw more difficult fishing conditions and a drop in visiting anglers.

Witton Castle Lakes report w/e 5th October

Variable weather conditions this week has seen on the one hand days of heavy rain and strong winds and then perfect conditions. The 41 visiting anglers caught 135 fish for a healthy 3.3 fish average. The more settled days have seen the lakes alive with rising fish but anglers have needed to fish with light tackle and small flies to be successful.
